Rinteln, Hamelin, Minden

Within 10 min by car you reach Rinteln with its small but excellent historical center in the style of the Weser Renais-sance. The old market place surrounded by wonderful and decorative timbered houses invites you for a walk, to take a coffee, to shop in the small stores or just to enjoy the scenery.  

If you like biking you can take the famous Weserradweg for a relaxed ride along the Weser to Rinteln (about 10 kilometers). You reach the Weserradweg after about 3 kilo-meters south of Deckbergen.

Easterwards you reach the city of Hess. Oldendorf after about 8 km. There you find also well sorted supermarkets for your daily needs (Edeka, Penny, Rossmann, Lidl). Further on after about 20km you come to the famous Pied Piper City Hameln.

If you follow the main road B 83 in opposite direction you reach after about 10 km the old residence city Bückeburg, home of Schaumburgs´ earls. In the city center Earl Alexander zu Schaumburg-Lippe´s magnificent castle tells us stories of a time long past. If you proceed further northwest you arrive in the Weser city Minden (about 15 km further on).

You have access to the motorway A2 within about 10 minutes from our house (Bad Eilsen and Rehren) and Hannover or Bielefeld are both about 60 Kilometers away.
